What’s buzzing in the ATX music scene this week:
- Formula 1 USGP Weekend: The 2026 United States Grand Prix is taking over Circuit of the Americas. This means a massive influx of international crowds and extremely heavy traffic downtown. Expect pop-up parties, brand activations, and packed venues across the East Side and Red River Cultural District all weekend long.
- A Shift to Psychedelic & Jam Roots: If you are looking to avoid the F1 club crowds and stick to heavy musicianship, South Austin and 6th Street are delivering tonight. There are major tribute showcases happening that celebrate the complex guitar work of Pink Floyd and Phish.
- Latin Instrumentals Downtown: Saturday evening features an incredible open-air performance downtown, bringing sweeping, desert-inspired Latin guitar soundscapes right to Waterloo Park.

HOTEL VEGAS | 8:00 PM F1 Gran Premio Weekend Kickoff With Formula 1 in town, the East Side is throwing down. Hotel Vegas is hosting a massive weekend starting with Feral Heart Productions’ underground showcase featuring Oldowan Gash, Hydra Hex, Disciple, and Nox Letifer. Flamingo Cantina | 9:00 PM Pink Floyd Tribute featuring In the Flesh Escape the downtown F1 gridlock by stepping into 6th Street’s “Good Vibes Headquarters.” Tonight, they are leaning into classic psychedelic rock with a full Pink Floyd tribute. Former Bad Boy Records rapper and current Belizean politician Shyne brings his deep, distinctive voice to the Moody Theater.
