Kacey Musgraves has officially dropped a gorgeous new Spanish-language single and music video: «Mi Tesoro», released today (October 23, 2026).

• The Anatomy of a Tex-Mex Masterpiece: Serving as a lead preview single for her newly announced companion album, Middle of Nowhere Vol. 2: Tex Mex Tapes (dropping January 15, 2027, via Lost Highway Records), «Mi Tesoro» is a deeply reverent Spanish-language cover of a classic norteño standard originally written by Pedro Reyna Cisneros and immortalized by the legendary Cornelio Reyna. Musgraves honors the song’s sacred roots while bringing her signature pristine vocal warmth, pairing traditional arrangements with exquisite accordion work by Rob Burger and sublime pedal steel guitar by Paul Franklin. The 16-track upcoming album promises to be a stunning exploration of the profound musical and cultural bridges connecting Texas and Mexico.
• A Cross-Border Love Affair: By diving headfirst into the rich tapestry of norteño history, Musgraves proves once again why she is one of the most culturally attuned and fearless artists working in modern music today, seamlessly weaving her country roots with authentic borderland soul.

The MusicWayATX Verdict: “Mi Tesoro” is a triumph of cross-cultural respect, instrumental elegance, and vocal grace. Kacey Musgraves delivers an absolute treasure that bridges two musical worlds to perfection.
