Get ready to rediscover the magic in life’s smallest moments through an infectious, heartwarming, and deeply optimistic sonic journey! Acclaimed Swedish singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Laleh has officially dropped her charming new single and music video, «Potatislåten», released globally via Universal Music.

• The Anatomy of Small Seeds and Big Growth: Roots run deep in “Potatislåten”—a track inspired by a vivid memory from Laleh’s childhood when she filled boxes with soil on her balcony, planted a single potato, and watched in utter fascination as it multiplied into ten. “I put a potato in the ground and got back ten. Everything was possible,” she recalls. That simple childhood wonder blossomed into a profound, playful metaphor for life: how seemingly insignificant efforts, hope, and small initiatives can yield unexpectedly massive returns (“If you just give one, you get tenfold in return”). Musically, the track delivers a brightly crafted, uplifting pop melody infused with Laleh’s signature blend of vulnerability and unbridled optimism.
• From Live Concert Improvisation to Studio Magic: The song evolved organically on the road during Laleh’s latest tour, where she shared the story on stage and built an interactive call-and-response routine with her crowd. As she sang, “I put a potato in the ground and ten came up!”, thousands of fans shouted back, “Ten!” That communal joy and genuine connection now form the beating heart of the recorded single and its accompanying visual release.

The MusicWayATX Verdict: “Potatislåten” is a triumph of heartwarming storytelling and uplifting melody. Laleh delivers an enchanting reminder that even the smallest seed, when nurtured with hope, can multiply into something extraordinary.
