El Regreso de las Leyendas: LTD Rock
Para los amantes del rock iberoamericano, hay una noticia monumental. Un nuevo proyecto llamado LTD Rock acaba de ser anunciado, y no es una banda tributo más. Se trata de la reunión definitiva de músicos y vocalistas originales que dieron forma al Rock en Español.
La banda base cuenta con integrantes de Neón, Fobia, Rostros Ocultos y más, acompañados por voces emblemáticas de bandas como La Lupita y Azul Violeta. Planean reinterpretar clásicos con arreglos contemporáneos y tendrán invitados de lujo de agrupaciones como Panteón Rococó, Zurdok y Hello Seahorse! Su debut será el 8 de octubre en el Teatro Metropólitan de la Ciudad de México. ¡Una cita imperdible para celebrar el legado del rock latino!
Latin Alternative & Reggaeton Power Plays
In the Latin Alternative and urban spaces, the biggest drop over the last couple of days is the collaborative album “Omerta” by J Balvin and Ryan Castro.
Described as a “cinematic reggaeton power play,” the 10-track album is a statement of Medellín loyalty and big-screen ambition. It’s a major release that blends pop and R&B sensibilities with deep reggaeton roots.
Other notable Latin releases this week include Astropical by Bomba Estéreo and Rawayana, and Sonido Cosmico by Hermanos Gutierrez, offering a great mix of club/dance and Americana world sounds.
Global Spotlight: New Indie & Alternative Sounds
Switching gears to the global stage, yesterday brought a wave of new music for New Music Friday.
In the indie and alternative scene, the Chicago post-punk trio French Police released a new double single, “REPTILE / JAPAN”. Known for their dark, atmospheric sound, this release continues their exploration of moody, synth-driven post-punk.
