Visionary Tamil-Swiss artist Priya Ragu has officially dropped her vibrant new single and music video: «Madras».

• The Anatomy of the “Raguwavy” Masterpiece: Serving as the title track for her highly anticipated third studio album arriving next month on November 26, 2026, «Madras» is a stunning sonic showcase of Ragu’s signature “raguwavy” sound—a brilliant fusion weaving traditional Tamil melodies and pulsating South Asian rhythms into contemporary left-field R&B, hip-hop, and disco-leaning grooves. Produced by her long-time creative collaborator and brother, Japhna Gold (Roshaan Ragupathylingam), the track luxuriates in rich live instrumentation, soaring orchestral strings, and the pure, organic warmth of a children’s choir, creating an anthemic bridge between heritage and future-forward pop.
• A Sacred Homecoming: The creation of the upcoming record is as remarkable as the music itself. Written across Zurich, Goa, Mumbai, and Kerala, the project was recorded natively in Chennai (historically known as Madras). By stepping away from rigid industry timelines and allowing the music to unfold organically, Ragu has crafted an artistic statement deeply rooted in self-discovery, geography, and ancestral pride.

The MusicWayATX Verdict: “Madras” is a triumph of cultural storytelling, orchestral warmth, and peerless sonic innovation. Priya Ragu continues to expand the global pop vocabulary with unmatched grace and power.
