Austin’s Halloween weekend is absolutely packed with live alternative events, bringing massive local talent to the forefront before we flip the calendar into November.
- Dead Music Capital Band: Tonight, October 30, and stretching into tomorrow, the city is celebrating with a distinctly alternative, theatrical twist. The legendary Dead Music Capital Band is bringing their massive brass-punk energy to the streets and local stages, delivering an eclectic mix of performances and raw local musicianship.
- The Peterson Brothers at The Continental: El legendario Continental Club en South Congress no se queda atrás este fin de semana. The Peterson Brothers are slated to bring their infectious funk, soul, and blues-infused indie sound to the icónica tarima mañana por la noche, 31 de octubre.
Sonidos Frescos: Vanguardia Pop y Texturas Oscuras
Global Spotlight: Triumphant Returns & Synth-Pop Tributes
The international indie scene is delivering profound tributes and highly anticipated comebacks as October comes to a close.
Her comeback features an incredible cast of collaborators, including Neko Case and Adrian Quesada, delivering a bright yet prickly indie-pop sound that proves her creative vision is sharper than ever.
- Hot Chip’s Emotional Tribute: In the realm of electronic and synth-pop, the revered English group Hot Chip has just released their first new music in a few years. It is a deeply emotional return, utilizing their signature dance-floor melancholy to pay tribute to a departed friend while offering a vital message of hope to their global fanbase.
