Rob Zombie ►Black Rat Coffin

Industrial metal icon Rob Zombie has officially premiered the music video for “Black Rat Coffin,” the latest visual offering from his eighth studio LP, The Great Satan. Released in February 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records, the 15-track album marks his first full-length release since 2021.

  • Personnel and Sonic Context: A defining characteristic of The Great Satan is its deliberate reconnection to the formative years of Zombie’s solo career. The project features the notable return of bassist Rob “Blasko” Nicholson alongside guitarist Mike Riggs, who steps back into the lineup following John 5’s transition to Mötley Crüe. Riggs was previously instrumental in architecting the foundational sound and theatrical visual identity of seminal releases like Hellbilly Deluxe and The Sinister Urge.
  • Visual Direction: Continuing Zombie’s legacy of directing his own cinematic, horror-infused aesthetics, the video for “Black Rat Coffin” serves as a direct extension of the macabre, high-energy world-building that defines the current album cycle.
  • Touring Integration: The release of the video is strategically aligned with his current live commitments. Zombie is currently co-headlining the newly launched Freaks on Parade Tour alongside Marilyn Manson. The expansive North American run, which commenced on August 20 and concludes in September, is bolstered by supporting performances from The HU and Orgy.
  • Impact: By successfully merging his classic late-90s personnel with a highly visible contemporary tour, Zombie reaffirms his enduring influence and architectural command over the theatrical heavy metal landscape.
