Family or not, with company or alone, there is plenty of things to do in NYE here in Austin.
Champagne, grapes, food, fireworks and list of resolutions, wishes and hopes for the coming year, looking to score into a spontaneous moment worth keeping the entire year to shake-off the old.
Some of us gather numbers and look for party supplies, secret stash, YeYo or after hours Drink deliveries.. just in case we run into the unexpected after party, admit it.. you and some friends reading this have done that…
New Year celebration started yesterday and ends until the wee hours of tomorrow, the high peak is aroud 8:00pm tonight, some will spend it with family, watch movies, play board games, have dinner and kill 4 hours waiting until the smartphone alarm goes off. Others will drink as if it was the end of the beer and liquor era, some folks making it after midnight and carry on with a strong liver until morning, while others don’t even get to 11:36 pm sober to next day have the resolution of never drink again, you know how long this lasts.
You might be an Austinite that will celebrate another New Year for the x# time, also is highly a possibility that you are just visiting or a newbie from another state (NY,CO,LA) and still don’t get what Austin is all about besides the weird. the music and the fast expansion-modification of the ATX. No matter what, either at home or out and about we all tend to end the Year with a bang or 2.. hell why not 2.75
