Rock en Español: Tributos de Leyenda

For fans of the golden era of Rock en Español, the East Coast is gearing up for a major celebration to close out the month.

• Rock en Español Fest 2026: On August 29, Washington D.C. will host an epic “Noche de Tributos” at THRōW Social DC.
• The Icons: The night will be dedicated to honoring the monumental legacies of Soda Stereo, Hombres G, and Enanitos Verdes, with live tribute bands performing their greatest anthems from start to finish. It is a massive celebration of the foundational music that continues to shape our alternative playlists.

Latin Pop & Alt: Las Reinas del Escenario

We previously covered the upcoming María José and Moenia tour, and it seems the trend of powerhouse collaborations is going strong.

• Entre Amigas Tour: Just a couple of days ago, on August 18, music icons Yuri and Lucero officially announced they are joining forces for their U.S. “Entre Amigas Tour” this fall.
• Ticket Availability: Presale tickets went live this morning, August 20, with general public sales beginning tomorrow, August 21.

Sonidos Frescos: Nuevos Lanzamientos

The Latin Alternative and Rock landscape has delivered some excellent new studio tracks this week.

• Bunbury: The iconic Spanish rocker returns with a fiercely titled new track, “Las chingadas ganas de llorar,” showcasing his signature dramatic flair.
• Camilo Séptimo: The Mexican indie-synth group released “Cierro los Ojos,” adding another atmospheric track to their catalog.
• Ultraligera: Continuing their rapid rise ahead of their upcoming festival appearances, the Spanish alternative rockers just dropped a brand new single titled “Me Miras Mal”.

Global Spotlight: Ecos de Fin de Verano

There are no major new global festival updates since Tuesday, but the underground electronic scene is still buzzing over the news of The Avalanches’ expansive 31-track upcoming album. The ongoing cross-pollination between alternative pop, sample-heavy electronica, and raw live rock is making this late-summer season incredibly exciting.
