Brooklyn-based alt-rockers Mx Lonely have just unveiled “March 16th” (featuring Caitlin Starr), the profound lead single from their highly anticipated new EP, PERFECT HOUSE (dropping October 2 via Julia’s War Recordings).

• The Sound: Cavernous alt-rock meets raw catharsis! Originally written as an instrumental during the sessions for their debut album ALL MONSTERS, “March 16th” exploded into life when Caitlin Starr joined members Jake and Rae in the studio. Featuring live, simultaneously-tracked vocals, weaving harmonies, and an unforgettable counter-melody, it’s a soaring display of spontaneous collaboration.
• The Message: Despite its soaring alt-rock sound, the lyrics carry intense emotional weight. Referencing the December 13, 2025, Brown University shooting and a friend’s lockdown experience, the track explores our psychological proximity to tragedy and the cyclical nature of violence—the haunting, exhausting feeling that “we’ve been here before.”
