Wolf Alice ►Hit the Sky

Wolf Alice fans, the wait is over! The beloved British indie rockers have just dropped “Hit The Sky,” the highly anticipated final track from their brand new EP, The Clearing: B Sides. If you were lucky enough to catch its live debut at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this year, you already know this one is an absolute gem!

  • The Sound: Get ready to stomp your feet! “Hit The Sky” is a glorious, folksy rock jam that takes the band in a thrilling new direction. Featuring incredible fiddle playing by James Gavin and gorgeous backing vocals from Sunflower Bean’s Julia Cumming, it’s a track that bursts with organic, rootsy energy.
  • The Collection: This new single beautifully rounds out The Clearing: B Sides collection, joining the delicate, piano-led “Gospel Oak” and their stunning cover of The Roches’ “Hammond Song” (which also features Cumming alongside Bria Salmena).
  • The Story: Originally recorded as a demo during the sessions for The Clearing, the band loved the track so much that they returned to it a year later to finally complete it. As frontwoman Ellie Rowsell shared, these are songs they love very much that finally found the perfect home.
  • Get the Vinyl! The full collection of B-sides is available digitally right now, but for the physical collectors, a special 7-inch vinyl version drops this Friday, August 21.
