Artist, composer and producer, CASADIEGO is one of three nominees for a Fox Music US Award 2014 under the category of Breakthrough Bachata Artist for his album, Obsesionate. At the 4th annual awards ceremony and his first nomination for a Fox Music US Award, CASADIEGO’s contenders include the Dominicans: the band Prisioneros and soloist, Natil.
The nominees were selected by public votes with a voting period that concluded on December 20th last year. More than 100 groups of all musical genres will come together on one stage this year to be awarded.
Obsesionate is CASADIEGO’s first solo album that collected in 2012 his first Latin GRAMMY nomination as Best Tropical Fusion Album. The album includes 12 innovative songs that sail jauntily between contemporary sounds like reggaeaton, bachata, pop sounds with touches of R&B and inclining toward hip-hop, and decidedly mixed with genres of the traditional vallenato genre.
As a producer, CASADIEGO has worked alongside heavy-weight producers the likes of Julio Reyes Copello (Marc Anthony, Alejandro Sanz, J. Lo) and Redone (Lady Gaga, Pitbull) composing 2 songs from the last album of Paulina Rubio, Brava: “Olvidate de Mi” and “Sabes Que Te Amo” while directing musically the first single, “Me Voy” a duet with Mexican regional singer, Espinoza Paz.
The 4th annual ceremony of the Fox Music Awards USA will be held on Saturday, April 26 at the Sheraton hotel in Houston, Texas.
