Step away from the frantic noise of modern life and enter a breathtaking sanctuary of acoustic stillness and poetic contradiction! The mesmerizing Catalan singer-songwriter Mar Pujol has officially returned to cast her spell, announcing her eagerly awaited second full-length album, D’aquesta aigua no en beuré, arriving this October via Hidden Track Records, alongside the release of its stunning opening track and sole advance single, “Mitja Vida” and its accompanying official music video.

• The Anatomy of a Contemplative Masterpiece: Following the serene, meditative pause of her acclaimed debut Cançons de Rebost, Mar Pujol’s new work embraces contradiction as its core creative engine—taking a stubborn, absolute phrase and gently dismantling it from the inside out to challenge all fixed certainties. Serving as the gateway to the record, “Mitja Vida” showcases her signature sonic grace: slow, delicate guitar arpeggios that feel capable of stopping time entirely, evoking the gentle caress of a breeze across a quiet meadow in Lluçanès. Pujol sings with such profound reverence for silence that she only dares to break it when she has found a note pure enough to make the quiet even more meaningful.
• An Antidote to the Fast Lane: In an era addicted to the rush of the next minute, Pujol offers an alternate dimension—a sweet, unhurried rhythm that wraps around the listener like a warm embrace. The accompanying official music video for “Mitja Vida” mirrors this gentle intimacy, grounding the listener in a world stripped of artifice and heavy with emotional truth.

The MusicWayATX Verdict: “Mitja Vida” is an exquisite triumph of delicate folk craftsmanship. Mar Pujol proves once again that true power often lies in a whisper, leaving us completely captivated as we await the full arrival of D’aquesta aigua no en beuré.
