Jungle ►Move Like You Do

British electronic and soul collective Jungle has officially unveiled their latest audiovisual project, Sunshine. Arriving on the heels of their highly successful 2023 breakthrough album, Volcano, this new record meets soaring cultural expectations while solidifying the group’s reputation for marrying forward-leaning grooves with masterful visual spectacles.

  • Evolution of the Collective: A notable shift in the band’s dynamic is the official induction of Lydia Kitto into the core lineup alongside founders J Lloyd and Tom McFarland. Kitto’s airy, distinct vocal delivery acts as a vital structural element throughout the record, offering a beautiful melodic counterpoint to the dense, rhythmic instrumentation.
  • Sonic Architecture: Sunshine operates as a deeply nostalgic exercise, heavily drawing upon mid-century influences. The tracklist navigates seamlessly between 1960s-inspired soul—anchoring cuts like the title track, lead single “Carry On,” and “Heavy On My Soul”—and the fast-paced, slick boogie of the 1970s and early 1980s, exemplified by standout tracks like “The Wave” and “Move Like You Do.”
  • Visual Direction: Staying true to their multimedia ethos, Sunshine is accompanied by a full-length visual album component (currently available to fans via a film pass). The promotional rollout includes striking new videos for “Move Like You Do” and the title track.
  • Aesthetic Execution: These latest visual pieces once again feature the intricate, highly disciplined choreography of Jungle mainstay Will West. By placing his dance troupe in unconventional environments—such as a bank and an upscale bar—the videos transform ordinary spaces into kinetic, highly stylized cinematic moments, proving that Jungle remains at the absolute forefront of contemporary audiovisual artistry.
