Here is the List of Artists from Latinoamerica that will participate in SXSW 2025

Artists around the world look for a spot to showcase their talent with the dream to make it big, sign a record deal and tour all over the globe… SXSW outfit was based on that expectation,however in recent years the path has changed from its original perspective to a commercial trap.

Would like to ask SXSW to push harder on scouting and booking a stronger presence of Música en Español , there is lots of new talent missing the opportunity to showcase their creativity.

Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Perú, Chile, Cuba, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Bolivia… have an amazing wave of alternative music that goes beyond reggaeton and Norteño or CheapHop. It is great to see that SXSW is finally assisting local talent more than before and hopefully they put extra effort on promoting those shows and not just used them as a way to fill spots because the “SXSW Talent Scout” was not able cover in the gaps carried over the years.

More and more record labels that manage Latino artists are stepping away from SXSW due a lower impact on their showcases, amount of venues supporting this music scene are reduced every year due to the lack of promotion by SXSW team and pushed to follow rules + accept terms vs working together.

Latin Music showcases need a better way to be promoted to give the artists that are participating a chance to expose their music to a wider audience, It takes more than just a trip to ATX to perform and the programming , location, date and set times play a big role.
